Locally connected in Fort Lauderdale

A local business, run plainly

FLL Dumpster Rental Fort Lauderdale is owned and run by Marcus Delgado, built to bring straightforward, dependable dumpster service to Fort Lauderdale homeowners and contractors. Too many companies make you chase a quote, guess at a size, and hope a truck shows up when it said it would. We set out to run the kind of outfit we'd want to call ourselves — a team that actually answers the phone and follows through on what it promises.

That's still the whole mission: to make waste removal easier, cleaner and more straightforward for everyone in Fort Lauderdale. Upfront pricing, responsible disposal, and staying involved in the community we live and work in — that isn't marketing language here, it's how the company actually runs day to day.

Fort Lauderdale has long gone by the nickname "the Venice of America," for the extensive network of navigable canals and waterways that thread through neighborhoods like Sailboat Bend and Rio Vista and drain out through the New River toward Port Everglades and the Atlantic. It's a small point of local color, and it says something about a city that has always had to build and work around water — which is exactly the kind of drainage and access awareness our own drivers factor into a delivery.

What we look like today

We own and manage our own dumpster fleet, handle scheduling and logistics in-house, and our own drivers deliver every container we set down. Our yard on 15-21 NW 9th Ave coordinates deliveries across Fort Lauderdale and the towns spreading out across Broward County — from Oakland Park and Tamarac to Dania Beach and Coral Springs.

Our team knows this area — the historic streets near downtown and Las Olas Boulevard, the HOA-governed master-planned communities spread across the county, the canal-front lots with a narrower bridge or culvert than a standard driveway, and the newer neighborhoods further west where a gated entry might add a few extra minutes to a drop. We know a container set a few feet too far into a narrow gated approach can mean a stuck truck, and we know exactly what a saturated load of storm-downed debris weighs by the time we come back for it.

Our promise, in one line: the flat rate we quote on the phone is the rate on the invoice, and if we ever get that wrong, we make it right — not you.

Why we care about where it ends up

Hauling debris for a living gives you a fairly direct relationship with the consequences. We live here. So we treat Florida's waste rules as more than paperwork — we sort out clean wood, metal, cardboard, concrete and yard debris where the volume justifies it, and we'd rather spend five minutes on the phone telling you where an old appliance should go than quietly let it become someone else's problem.

If you want the detail on that, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) publishes guidance on solid waste and construction & demolition disposal statewide. Our own plain-English version is in this guide.

Fort Lauderdale climate and construction, handled

Fort Lauderdale sits on Florida's Gold Coast between Miami and Palm Beach, on the Atlantic — flat, low-lying, canal-laced coastal terrain, not rolling inland country. Atlantic hurricane season runs June through November and is the defining seasonal reality here: pre-storm yard and property prep, then post-storm downed-limb and debris cleanup once the worst of it passes. Fort Lauderdale's canal-heavy geography also means seasonal king tides and heavy-rain street flooding are a real, if occasional, local issue worth planning around rather than ignoring. Outside of storm season, it's a hot, humid subtropical climate year-round, which means there's no real seasonal construction slowdown the way colder markets have.

Most homes and buildings here are CBS — concrete block and stucco — rather than wood-frame, which changes the renovation-debris story: concrete, stucco and tile loads are dense and heavy well before a container looks full, and we size those jobs accordingly rather than let a customer get surprised by a weight overage. Wet, storm-soaked yard waste and palm fronds also weigh a lot more than the same pile looks like it should — another reason storm-debris calls get moved toward the front of the queue where we can manage it.

Reviews

What customers tell us

  • I almost booked a 30 yard for a kitchen gut in Rio Vista. Whoever answered the phone at FLL talked me down to a 15 and was dead right — I never came close to filling it. Saved me from paying for a container full of mostly air.

Priya N.Fort Lauderdale — Rio Vista Kitchen Remodel

  • A storm dropped half a ficus tree across our yard and driveway in Hollywood after the last named storm rolled through. FLL had a 20 yard on the ground the next morning while a lot of the neighborhood was still waiting on a chainsaw crew. The driver clearly knew the back streets — no wrong turns, no wasted time.

Todd B.Hollywood — Storm Debris Cleanup

  • We used FLL for a whole build out near Coral Springs and never once missed a scheduled swap. Same driver most weeks, which meant I didn't have to re-explain the site every single time he pulled in. Flat rate held the whole way through, no surprises on the invoice.

Answers

About FLL Dumpster Rental — common questions

Is FLL Dumpster Rental actually based in Fort Lauderdale?

Yes. Our yard and office are at 15-21 NW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, and that's where our dispatch runs day to day. We're not an out-of-state call center — when you call (754) 354-3921 you reach our own Fort Lauderdale team.

How long have you been in business?

We don't lead with a specific founding date because what matters more is how we operate today: a locally owned Fort Lauderdale business, based in Fort Lauderdale, with a small team that answers the phone and gets a container on your driveway when we say we will. Ask us about our track record with a specific job type and we'll give you a straight answer.

Are your drivers licensed and insured?

Our fleet and drivers are fully licensed and insured to operate in Florida. We're happy to provide a certificate of insurance for general contractors and property managers before a job starts — just ask when you call. It's a routine request for us, and we can usually turn it around the same day so it doesn't hold up your project schedule.

Do you work with contractors on ongoing jobs?

Constantly. Remodelers, roofers and property managers make up a large share of our week. We can set up standing swap-out arrangements with a consistent driver, priority call windows during busy season, and consolidated monthly invoicing. Call and ask for the commercial side, and we'll build a schedule that fits how your crews actually work.

What happens to the material after pickup?

Our driver weighs it, then sorts where the load makes sorting worthwhile — clean wood, scrap metal, cardboard, clean concrete and yard debris get diverted rather than landfilled. Everything else goes to a permitted disposal facility. Materials restricted from ordinary Florida landfill disposal are separated out and routed to the right facility, per Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection (FDEP) -- Solid Waste rules.
